WE BACK INSIDE! No one knew for sure that this would be the last decimal of Volume 2. But in hindsight, it was quite fitting to wrap up Volume 2 by transitioning to Volume 3, exploring the songs that would be sung at the upcoming camp.
Also, apparently in the bible, the number 8 (from "2.8") often carries the sense of new beginning, covenantal entrance, renewal, or life after completion. How fitting!
“What is your name? Where were you born? What church do you go to? Fun fact about yourself?”
We opened the fellowship with a self-reflection exercise wrapped in an icebreaker, as we (re)introduced ourselves to one another — since it wasn't asked about, the shame of “I haven’t read my Bible today” was dodged that day. New faces, old faces, all eager to fellowship with one another and with God in our midst, as we prepared to be teased with what the LORD had to offer us for Volume 3.

But in the midst of all this, food was eaten, food was spilled (and cleaned), people shared the stories and powerful messages behind songs the Holy Spirit revealed to them, we sang, we laughed, we cried, we danced, we jumped, and even the instruments had their time (it had been a while since they got to make noise—they were being brought everywhere and then disregarded at the last couple DECIMALS lol).
The story that was about to emerge at camp started here and we continued to get a sense of it afterwards as the melodies continued to ring on and on in our hearts and in the google drive of recordings that has now probably encountered many phones over and over again.
The ending of Volume 2 wasn't as climatic as might have been expected, but we move by faith and not by sight, and a pinnacle was likely reached in our hearts, perhaps without us even realizing. Even when our minds don't perceive it, the prayer is that we are known by our Father and our love for Him and His creation waxes stronger and stronger.
1 Cor 8:3 - "If anyone loves God, this one is known by Him."
